Now living in an alternate reality because of Trent's meddling, Cassie and Trent are the only ones who can remember what happened previously, leaving Lorelei to become increasingly frustrated. Cassie is more confident in this life and back into tennis. She had a sweet new car, but many things have changed for the worse. Jeff, her old boyfriend, is still interested in her, her best friend Kelli is disappointed in her for moving in on the guy she likes, her brother Gavin misses his pseudo-older-brother Jeff, and her parents now fight non-stop because of her father's obsession with her tennis career. Cassie starts believing that Trent made a mistake by going back in time to change her destiny. Meanwhile, an old enemy resurfaces trying to locate the vortex, the source of Trent's powers. But what is he really after? When Trent discovers a secret that Cassie has been keeping from him, it looks like the last straw. Can they ever be happy again? Will Cassie ask the impossible of Trent? And what effect did the trip to Sedona have on Cassie?
Once again, the story is told from Cassie's and Trent's points-of-view. And again, a number of editing errors, especially incorrect word usage (e.g., passed for past-5 times!, you're for your, breaks for brakes, pouring for poring, plodding for plotting, lessoned for lessened, taught for taut, affects for effects). While there is a lot of action and character interaction, this is not my favorite in the series. But I can't wait to see what happens next!
I received this book in return for an honest review.
